5.4 Million Worshippers Visit Prophet’s Mosque in One Week

Over 5.4 million worshippers visited the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah within a week, according to the official figures. Official statistics revealed a surge in attendance as the mosque stands at the center of Muslims’ hearts all over the globe, especially during this sacred season.

Out of these visitors, over 376,000 were granted permission to offer prayer in Al Rawda Al Sharifa, an area regarded within Islam as a holy precinct next to the Prophet Muhammad’s pulpit and living quarters. Measures for organized procedure were enforced and followed by other authorities for hassle-free movements with security that was made secure and serene enough for all participants.
