A 60-year-old building watchman from India, working hard to support his family, has won Dh1 million in the recent Big Ticket’s Millionaire e-draw.
Nampally Rajamallaiah, originally from Hyderabad, lives alone in Abu Dhabi while his wife stays back in India. His children, who were brought to the UAE, live separately. Despite the distance and challenges, Rajamallaiah has dedicated his life to ensuring a better future for his family.
“A Life-Changing Moment”
Rajamallaiah, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for over 30 years, called this win “a moment of pure joy.” He learned about Big Ticket from friends four years ago but only bought tickets occasionally when he had enough savings to join a group.
This time, he teamed up with 20 close friends, never expecting their efforts to lead to such a big win.
“I started buying tickets again two months ago,” he said. “When I got the call, I was overwhelmed. I can’t describe how happy I felt it’s unlike anything I’ve experienced before. This is my first win, and it means so much to me.”
Sharing the Prize and Future Plans
Rajamallaiah plans to share the prize with his friends who contributed and use the rest to secure his family’s future. “Winning has made me feel incredibly lucky, and I’ll continue participating. Seeing my win, many around me are inspired to try their luck with Big Ticket too,” he added.
