Victory in Abu Dhabi: UAE’s Mohammed Touizi Claims Championship Belt

The K1 Pro Night, held at Space 42 Arena, Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, was a night to remember, packed with thrilling combat sports action and historic victories.

UAE’s Mohammed Touizi achieved a major milestone by winning the prestigious Intercontinental Flyweight title, while Serbia’s Nikola Todorovic retained his World Super Middleweight title with an impressive knockout performance.

Organized by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation in partnership with WAKO Pro, the championship brought together 28 top fighters from 24 countries in 14 intense bouts. The event highlighted Abu Dhabi’s growing reputation as a global hotspot for professional combat sports, attracting athletes and fans from around the world.

In the main event, Serbia’s Nikola Todorovic (28 wins, 16 KOs) delivered a stunning knockout victory against Spain’s Jordi Coronado to retain his title. Todorovic’s powerful performance solidified his place among the sport’s elite.

On the other hand, UAE’s Mohammed Touizi showcased exceptional skill and determination. He defeated Portugal’s Ricardo Hilario in an action-packed five-round bout to claim the Intercontinental Flyweight title, marking a huge moment for UAE kickboxing and proving the country’s ability to produce world-class athletes.

The event’s success was celebrated by Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, President of the Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federations and Chairman of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation. Al Neyadi praised the outstanding results of the championship:

“We are thrilled with the remarkable success of K1 Pro Night, which has closed the Federation’s vibrant 2024 season. This tournament has not only showcased world-class talent but also reaffirmed Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a premier destination for combat sports.”

Al Neyadi also dedicated Touizi’s win to the UAE’s leadership:

“We proudly dedicate Mohammed Touizi’s victory to our wise leadership, whose unwavering support drives the Federation’s ambitions. This triumph reflects our commitment to excellence, and we look forward to achieving even greater milestones in the year ahead.”

The K1 Pro Night Abu Dhabi was a showcase of exceptional talent and a celebration of the UAE’s growing influence in the world of combat sports.
