UAE Weather Update: Jebel Jais Experiences Temperature Drop Below 6°C

Winter has officially arrived in the UAE, with temperatures at Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the country, dropping below 6°C, marking one of the coldest days this season. This chilly weather has drawn both residents and tourists eager to enjoy the rare cool conditions in a country known for its warmth.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted partly cloudy skies across the UAE, contributing to cooler daytime temperatures in many areas. This refreshing weather is expected to continue, with light winds enhancing the winter atmosphere. However, residents are advised to be cautious due to potential reduced visibility from blowing dust in parts of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) and Fujairah.

Authorities have issued a dust alert for these regions, urging drivers to be careful and follow speed limits while driving. Coastal areas and beaches are experiencing moderate wave activity, making it a great time for winter outings, though vigilance is still necessary.

As people take advantage of the cooler temperatures and beautiful outdoor locations, forecasts indicate that these low temperatures will persist, especially in mountainous and desert areas. This change in weather has also piqued interest in hiking and camping, with Jebel Jais becoming a popular destination for nature lovers looking to enjoy the UAE’s winter season.
