Saudi Arabia has announced that residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries can now perform Umrah year-round

Saudi Arabia has opened year-round Umrah access for residents of the GCC, marking a significant step in promoting religious tourism. This initiative makes it easier for eligible residents from Gulf Cooperation Council countries to purchase Umrah packages through the “Nusuk” platform.

This new policy is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to enhance religious tourism and streamline services for pilgrims. The “Nusuk” digital platform provides a convenient way for GCC residents to plan their spiritual journeys, including assistance with visas, accommodation, and transportation.

Officials highlighted that this year-round access is expected to attract more pilgrims to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, fostering stronger connections among GCC nations and reinforcing the Kingdom’s role as a center for Islamic pilgrimage. An official from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated, “Our goal is to provide a smooth, efficient, and welcoming experience for every pilgrim.”

Saudi Arabia’s efforts to modernize pilgrimage services demonstrate its dedication to catering to the needs of visitors from the region. With easier access and digital tools like “Nusuk”, pilgrims can now concentrate on their spiritual journeys without worrying about logistical issues.
