Dubai Police have taken action by seizing 17 vehicles for reckless driving on Al Meydan Street, aiming to tackle dangerous stunts and disruptive behavior. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety throughout the emirate.

Authorities reported that the offenders were involved in illegal activities such as street racing, drifting, and performing stunts that endangered public safety. The police reiterated their strict zero-tolerance stance on these violations, which not only disrupt traffic but also pose significant risks to both drivers and pedestrians.

To discourage further infractions, Dubai Police have implemented severe penalties, with vehicle release fees potentially reaching up to Dh50,000, depending on the violation’s severity. Officials also warned that repeat offenders would face even stricter consequences, including longer vehicle impoundment periods.

Residents are urged to report any instances of reckless driving via Dubai Police’s smart platforms, contributing to safer roads for everyone. This crackdown highlights the emirate’s dedication to maintaining order and safeguarding lives on its streets.
