The UAE offers clear steps and support to help families navigate this difficult time. Dubai provides funeral and burial services, including cremation, which requires specific documents and fees. If you wish to repatriate a deceased family member for burial or cremation, Dubai issues a Corpse Entry Permit to streamline the process.

Step-by-Step Guide to Requesting a Corpse Entry Permit

Eligibility

This service is available to both UAE citizens and residents who want to bring their deceased relatives to Dubai.

Application Process

You can apply for the permit through the Dubai Police website, app, or by visiting Smart Police Stations in the city. The process is straightforward and efficient:

1. Dubai Police Website

  • Visit Dubai Police Website.
  • Go to the “Services” section.
  • Fill out the required details, including Emirates ID, relationship to the deceased, date, and location of death.
  • Upload the attested death certificate in the “Attachments” tab.
  • Solve the Captcha and click “Next.”
  • You will receive updates via text or email with further instructions.

2. Dubai Police App

  • Open the app and select “Services.”
  • Tap on “Corpse Entry Permit.”
  • Provide the necessary details like Emirates ID and relationship to the deceased.
  • Submit the form for processing.

3. Smart Police Stations

  • Visit any Smart Police Station in Dubai to apply in person. These stations offer convenient and quick processing.

Requirements

Ensure you have the following documents before applying:

  • Attested death certificate issued by authorities outside the UAE.
  • Proof of relationship with the deceased (if required).

Processing Time

Applications are processed within one working day.

Fees

This service is provided free of charge.

Important Notes

  • While you can initiate the application online, a family member or legal representative must visit the service center in person to finalize the process.
