Businesses can now enjoy faster and more efficient customs inspections right at their warehouses, thanks to the launch of the Seamless Inspections Initiative by the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC). Officially introduced at Aramex’s warehouses, this program slashes customs processing times by over 50%, speeding up operations and enhancing supply chain management.

Two Flexible Inspection Options

The initiative offers businesses two tailored solutions:

  1. Full-Site Inspection: Customs officers are stationed permanently at a company’s site, ideal for businesses with frequent and large-scale inspection needs.
  2. On-Demand Inspection: Officers visit company premises as needed, providing flexibility for operations with varying demands.

These options give businesses more control, improve scheduling, and minimize delays, making operations smoother and more cost-effective.

Significant Time and Cost Savings

Aramex reports that the initiative has reduced shipment processing times by over 50%, saving around five hours per shipment. This efficiency helps companies meet delivery timelines, lower operational costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Leadership Insights

Khaled Ziad Al-Kilani, Senior Director at Aramex, emphasized the program’s role in enriching customer experiences and driving efficiency in the logistics sector.

Meanwhile, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of PCFC, highlighted the initiative’s impact on Dubai’s global trade standing. “This approach supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 by facilitating trade, attracting investments, and enabling businesses to grow their operations,” he said.

Dr. Abdullah Busenad, Director-General of Dubai Customs, shared similar views during his visit to Aramex’s warehouse. His visit marked the official launch and showcased the program’s contribution to smoother operations and higher customer satisfaction.

A Step Towards the Future

The Seamless Inspections Initiative not only improves the inspection process but also strengthens Dubai’s position as a global trade and logistics hub. With tailored solutions and faster processes, businesses are better equipped to meet growing demands and achieve sustainable growth.
