Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), a non-profit organization, has provided financial support to over 400 cancer patients in the UAE in 2024, contributing more than Dh9 million for treatments and related expenses. As it celebrates its 25th anniversary, FOCP has played a crucial role in delivering comprehensive assistance to those fighting cancer, including offering 18,300 free breast cancer clinical examinations and 1,328 free mammograms during the Pink Caravan campaign in October.
Aisha Al Mulla, FOCP’s Director, emphasized the organization’s dedication to easing the financial strain of cancer treatment for those in need. Additionally, the non-profit organized 59 moral support activities that attracted 2,070 participants, providing emotional and psychological comfort to patients and their families. These initiatives are part of FOCP’s larger mission to enhance patient access to cancer care and support their overall well-being.
Looking forward, FOCP intends to broaden its outreach and assist even more individuals and families in 2025. The organization plans to foster innovative partnerships and programs to strengthen its local and international efforts, ensuring that more people receive the necessary care and support throughout their cancer journey.
