Dubai Announces Official Holiday for Government Departments on January 1

admin
SHARE

Dubai has officially announced that January 1 will be a public holiday for all government departments, giving public sector employees a chance to enjoy a well-deserved break as the new year begins. However, essential public services will continue to operate normally, ensuring that the city’s daily activities are minimally disrupted.

This holiday applies to most government offices, allowing public sector workers to celebrate and recharge for the upcoming year. Nevertheless, critical services such as healthcare, emergency response teams, and public transportation will remain fully operational. Dubai’s public service entities have made arrangements to ensure that citizens’ needs are met throughout the holiday.

Residents and visitors should be aware of possible changes in the availability of government services on January 1 and are encouraged to check with specific departments for any urgent matters that may need attention. Public transportation, including the Dubai Metro and buses, will continue to operate on adjusted schedules.

This holiday serves as a time for reflection and celebration for Dubai’s government workforce, while still maintaining a balance between relaxation and the continuity of essential services.
