This marks a sharp increase compared to 98 arrests in 2023, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police Rangani. The operation reflects a strong commitment to tackling illegal immigration and ensuring secure borders.

Crackdown on Sophisticated Visa Fraud Rings

Offenders employed various methods, such as forging travel documents and running counterfeit visa factories. Authorities managed to shut down multiple such factories during the year, exposing the scale and complexity of these fraudulent operations.

Expanded Law Enforcement Measures

A key part of the crackdown was the increased issuance of Look Out Circulars (LOCs), a tool used to monitor and intercept individuals wanted for immigration offences. Law enforcement agencies also captured Proclaimed Offenders (POs) who had been evading justice for years.

Nationwide Impact

This nationwide operation specifically targeted organized visa fraud rings, revealing the advanced tactics used by agents to exploit loopholes in immigration systems.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Rangani highlighted the importance of these efforts, stating, “This operation demonstrates our commitment to breaking illegal immigration networks and protecting the integrity of our borders.”
