UAE Citizens Remain Visa-Free for Thailand Travel, Embassy Confirms

UAE citizens remain exempt from tourist visa requirements when visiting Thailand, as confirmed by the UAE embassy in Bangkok through a recent social media update.

According to the embassy, UAE citizens can stay in Thailand visa-free for up to 60 days, with the option to extend their stay by an additional month if needed.

Starting January 1, 2025, applications for study or long-term residence visas must be submitted through the newly introduced electronic system, E-Visa. This change aims to streamline the visa application process for extended stays.

The update also follows an earlier announcement by the embassy that foreign nationals living in the UAE will be required to use the Thai e-Visa platform for visa applications beginning in 2025.

Global Village will welcome 2024 on December 31 with exciting celebrations, as UAE citizens continue to enjoy hassle-free travel to Thailand for tourism.
