The Indian Consulate in Dubai has been instrumental in aiding 15,000 UAE amnesty seekers during the recent amnesty period, offering essential support to Indian nationals aiming to regularize their stay or exit the country. Among these, 2,117 individuals opted to stay in the UAE, choosing to obtain legal residency status, while 3,700 received exit permits to leave without facing fines.

The amnesty program, launched by the UAE government, provided a unique chance for foreign workers with expired visas or those residing in the country without proper documentation to either regularize their status or depart without penalties. The Indian Consulate’s effective management of the process ensured that those looking to benefit from the amnesty could do so smoothly.

Many individuals reached out for help in understanding their legal status, completing paperwork, and ensuring a swift exit from the UAE. For those wishing to remain, the consulate offered guidance through the necessary steps to secure new permits.

The success of this initiative underscores the increasing collaboration between the Indian Consulate and UAE authorities, assisting thousands in achieving a secure and legal status.
