The Sharjah Executive Council has introduced a new fee structure for the release of vehicles that have been impounded due to serious traffic violations.

This initiative is designed to simplify the process of retrieving seized cars while emphasizing the importance of following road safety rules.

According to officials, the fees will differ based on the type of traffic offense, with harsher penalties for serious violations like reckless driving, illegal modifications, or actions that jeopardize public safety.

The council highlighted that this decision is part of a larger effort to maintain road discipline and enhance public safety throughout the emirate.

Additionally, the initiative aims to deter repeat offenders by implementing a financial penalty, which should help decrease the occurrence of serious traffic violations.

Authorities have assured the public that the fee system is transparent and aligns with Sharjah’s commitment to keeping its roads orderly.

Residents and drivers are encouraged to understand the new regulations and fee structure to prevent any inconvenience.

The council’s decision underscores its commitment to fostering safe driving habits and safeguarding the community from the dangers posed by irresponsible driving.
