Dubai Metro Operating Hours to Fall on January 12

In order to create more comfort among its commuters, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will operate the Dubai Metro from 5:00 AM on Sunday, January 12, instead of the traditional start time.

This change is expected to be more convenient for commuters, especially those who travel early in the morning and is part of RTA’s continuous improvement efforts in the public transport sector in the city. The new hours will be applicable to both the Red and Green Lines of the metro network.

A Convenient Move for Commuters

The RTA is set to start its operations early in order to make the journey to work easier and less hectic for early risers. It is expected that with the early start, people will be able to reach their destinations on time for early meetings, flights, and other time-sensitive engagements. The extended metro timings will only be in effect on January 12, so commuters are advised to plan their travels.

RTA’s Commitment to Enhancing Public Transportation

The Dubai Metro is still one of the most efficient public transportation modes available in the city. RTA strategic decisions regarding the improvement of metro services, for instance, extending and adjusting hours of operation are among the moves towards enhancing mobility to meet rising demand for hassle-free transportation alternatives.

For updates, passengers may refer to the RTA website or the official Dubai Metro app for more announcements.
