All AI companies that want to partner with the government in Dubai must have the ‘AI Seal’. It’s about ensuring ethical, transparent, and responsible use of AI technologies through collaborative ventures with the government. This certification is also expected to enhance trust and innovation within the AI sector while maintaining very high standards.

The ‘Dubai AI Seal’ would then mark its status under very stringent data protection guidelines, algorithmic fairness, and adherence to ethics while handling AI. Companies applying for AI companies can come in all shapes and sizes with or without an address; their certification will not cost a dime. In other words, all companies can strive towards a start-up to old guard can fall into this scheme with Dubai becoming an AI global hub.

This forms part of a larger strategy adopted by Dubai to lead in AI-driven innovation while concurrently tackling the growing concerns over privacy and the ethical challenges associated with it. With the implementation of the ‘AI Seal,’ Dubai aims to create accountability among AI companies while ensuring trust from the public in this technology being used in their sectors. Public institutions will be obliged to engage with certified companies as the first preference in all upcoming AI projects.

As AI becomes an integral part of governance and business operations, the ‘AI Seal’ is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI development in the region. With this move, Dubai reinforces its commitment to being a global leader in smart technologies while setting an example for responsible AI governance worldwide.
