Novak Djokovic is looking forward to a semifinal showdown with Alexander Zverev in Melbourne, but the fitness concerns that have been plaguing him for months are still lingering. The 37-year-old tennis legend delivered a thrilling quarterfinal win over Carlos Alcaraz on Tuesday, proving that he still has the mental toughness to compete at the top level.

Despite his stellar performance, Djokovic admitted that his body is feeling the strain of the grueling tournament schedule. “At this stage of my career, it’s not just about the next match but how my body holds up for the entire season,” he shared during the post-match press conference.

Facing Zverev will be no small feat, with the German star also in impressive form. Djokovic’s experience and tactical mastery, however, remain his biggest assets as he eyes another Grand Slam title to cement his legendary status.

With fans eagerly awaiting the showdown, Djokovic’s mental preparedness could be the deciding factor. “I’ve been through this before. It’s about giving my all, one match at a time,” he said, adding that recovery is key to his chances of reaching yet another Melbourne final.
