A new batch of invited Umrah pilgrims has arrived in Medina, marking the third group of guests under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guests Programme for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit. This group comprises 250 male and female pilgrims from 18 African countries: Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mali, Senegal, Cameroon, Chad, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, South Africa, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Guinea, Mozambique, and Mauritania.

The pilgrims have been greeted at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina by personnel of the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance. Subsequently, after visiting Medina and the Prophet’s Mosque, they will journey on to Mecca to observe Umrah inside the Grand Mosque-the holiest of Islam.

This falls under the larger Saudi plan of hospitality development to offer an integrated service package for Umrah pilgrims so as to facilitate an easy and fulfilling experience.
