Sporadic rain expected across the UAE from Thursday, says Met Office

Starting Thursday, scattered light rainfall may be experienced over different parts of the country by the National Centre of Meteorology. Conditions should continue through to Sunday. With this, spotty showers associated with mist forming will lead to reduced visibility over the early morning and late evening hours.

The expected wet weather is welcome relief amid several temperature fluctuations, as cool conditions are forecasted for several regions. Coasters and northern areas will most likely record the heaviest fall, and inlands may experience light drizzles. Drivers have been cautioned to exercise caution following the potential slippery roads and dismal visibility due to fog and mist conditions.

During the weekend, Met Office reports say cloudy conditions shall prevail in the skies with some slight temperature lowering. Authorities advise residents and tourists to be kept abreast with weather alerts that may come to pass and precautions taken especially for commuters at their peak fogging hours.

Before temperatures really soar in the coming months, the upcoming rain showers are likely to refresh the atmosphere, bringing residents a welcome change as the UAE embraces the seasonal shift.
