Airbus and Boeing Target India’s Expanding Aviation Market

admin
SHARE

With India’s aviation sector continuing on its path of rapid expansion, Airbus and Boeing are eyeing the country’s international expansion. The two aerospace giants predict that India’s next big leap in air travel will come from the global market, based on growing demand for long hauls and fleet expansion.

With India’s flourishing middle class, growing air connectivity, and government-backed aviation reforms, the country is becoming a critical battlefield for aircraft orders. Industry experts predict that this time, the focus will be on the international travel segment, as Indian carriers try to strengthen their global footprint.

Both Airbus and Boeing have bagged major deals with Indian airlines, including Air India’s historic 470-plane order in 2023. With competition heating up, manufacturers are eager to offer fuel-efficient, long-range aircraft to help India become a global aviation hub.
