Abu Dhabi students can save on public transport with Dh500 annual permit

Students in Abu Dhabi can now seriously cut down their travel expenditure with the help of a Dh500 per annum free public transport permit, giving unrestricted travel on the entire bus network of Abu Dhabi. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has also launched the project to make any form of daily travel cost-effective and convenient for students who rely on public transport.

The annual permit allows students to travel freely on Abu Dhabi’s buses for a full year, reducing the financial burden of daily transportation. To qualify, students must provide valid proof of enrollment from an accredited educational institution and submit their Emirates ID during the application process. The permit can be obtained online through the ITC’s official portal or at designated customer service centers.

This initiative is part of Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to promote sustainable and accessible public transport options. With rising fuel costs and an increasing focus on eco-friendly commuting, students can benefit from this cost-effective travel solution while also contributing to reduced traffic congestion and carbon emissions.

Students and parents are to benefit from this cost-free undertaking that will travel hassle-free throughout the year. For more information on how to apply, students can visit the ITC’s website or contact the Abu Dhabi public transport helpline.
