Guo Jiaxuan, a young Chinese footballer who is training in Spain, will be flown back to China for treatment after he suffered a serious head injury during a training match. The 17-year-old was put into a coma after the accident, and doctors later pronounced him “brain-dead.”

His family members and Chinese football officials are organizing his transfer at an urgent pace with hopes for improved medical treatment at home. There are reports that the accident resulted from an unintentional collision on the pitch, although more information is not available.

The news has prompted an outpouring of support from the football fraternity, with teammates and fans showing solidarity. Some have demanded improved safety measures in youth training programs to avoid such tragedies in the future.

As the situation continues to unfold, Guo’s condition is critical, and his family is bracing for the tough road ahead.
