The Sharjah Police have impounded 19 cars committing reckless driving offenses, affirming their dedication to safety on the roads. The perpetrators, who were caught committing reckless moves, speeding, and unauthorized stunts, now risk severe punishment, including fines of a maximum of Dh3,000, 23 black points, and car impoundment.

The authorities have cautioned that dangerous driving is a major threat to public safety, tending to result in accidents, injuries, and deaths. The seized cars were used in cases of street racing, drifting, and putting other drivers at risk, which prompted immediate action from the police.

Sharjah Police called on residents to report irresponsible driving habits and made it clear that increased surveillance and patrols will remain on major roads to deter such offenses. They also reminded drivers that habit offenders may be subjected to extended periods of impounding, suspension of their licenses, and even prosecution.

This new crackdown is one of Sharjah’s continued initiatives to minimize road accidents and encourage safe driving practices. Drivers are reminded to follow traffic rules, as the authorities step up their campaign against dangerous driving to provide safer roads for everyone.
