Depleted Australia Prepare for Champions Trophy Challenge Without Star Pacers

Defending World Cup champions Australia have a challenging task on their hands at the Champions Trophy, as they are going into the tournament sans their ‘Big Three’ pacemen—Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood. Their absence makes the team weak, and now they have to depend on less experienced personnel.

With Australia’s pace attack being the key to their recent World Cup victory, their absence places additional pressure on the team’s depth and flexibility. The selectors have looked to emerging fast bowlers to hope that they can deliver on the big stage.

Skipper Pat Cummins, who is sidelined due to injury concerns, acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in the squad’s fighting spirit. “We’ve got talented players who are ready to step in,” he said, emphasizing Australia’s resilience in high-pressure tournaments.

As the Champions Trophy progresses, everyone will be watching how Australia manages without their front-line pacers and if their batting unit can make up for the inexperience among their bowlers.
