‘Queen of Pop’ Madonna and Stephen King Blast Trump For Putin Connection

Madonna, the ‘Queen of Pop,’ has taken a jab at former U.S. President Donald Trump, denouncing his leadership and political power as the 2024 election campaign intensifies. The singer became part of an increasing number of celebrities expressing opposition to Trump, clearly stating her position on social media.

Adding to the criticism, bestselling novelist Stephen King branded Trump “traitorous” for his reported dealings with Russian President Vladimir Putin. King, who is no stranger to political outspokenness, accused Trump of putting personal interests ahead of national security, raising fears of foreign meddling in U.S. politics.

Trump, a dominant force within the Republican Party, has come under frequent fire for his relationship with Putin, with his detractors charging that his policies have been too favorable towards Russia. The new celebrity movement against Trump mirrors a deeper cultural and political schism as the election campaign builds.

While the battle for the White House rages on, influence of celebrities in politics is still a force to be reckoned with, as artists and writers are each using their pulpit to frame public opinion.
