Buttler Maintains Cautious Approach Regardless of Australia’s Injury Struggles in Champions Trophy

England captain Jos Buttler has not downplayed an understrength Australian team in their Champions Trophy encounter, even with the absence of their ‘Big Three’ fast bowlers. Buttler recognized that Australia still have sufficient firepower to be a threat, advising his side not to be complacent.

Addressing the media, Buttler stressed that Pakistan conditions could be conducive to England, especially their pace and spin attack, but he remains cautious of Australia’s capacity to respond and battle when under duress. He underlined the need for discipline and execution in the high-pressure tournament.

With Australia short of important players, such as Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood, England has a golden chance to capitalize and win a decisive match. Nevertheless, Buttler is not taking anything for granted, reiterating that “Australia, regardless of the team, always has a winning mindset. We need to be at our best.”
