Cricket great Shoaib Akhtar has admired Virat Kohli’s constant zeal for pressure games, saying that “If you want to wake up Kohli, tell him there’s a match against Pakistan.” The remark followed Kohli’s 82nd international century, which took India to a convincing six-wicket win over long-time rivals Pakistan in the Champions Trophy game played at Dubai.

Kohli once again showed why he excels in high-stakes encounters, playing a masterclass innings under pressure to lead India to victory. With his brilliant form, he outplayed Pakistan’s bowling attack, anchoring the chase with precision and composure.

Akhtar, a longtime admirer of Kohli’s mental strength and aggressive gameplay, emphasized that Kohli’s ability to rise on big occasions, especially against Pakistan, sets him apart. He added, “Kohli loves these moments. He brings out his best when facing Pakistan.”

With this latest ton, Kohli reaffirmed his legacy as one of cricket’s greatest chasers, ensuring India’s dominance over their historic rivals in yet another thrilling contest.
