Dubai Increases Food Safety Checks for Ramadan 2025

As Ramadan 2025 is on the horizon, Dubai Municipality has ramped up checks on food outlets to guarantee public health and safety throughout the holy month. As demand for iftar and suhoor food surges, authorities are implementing tough hygiene practices to ensure food quality in restaurants, markets, and Ramadan tents.

The local government has granted 100 permits to establishments with Ramadan tents and outdoor activities, subject to strict health regulations. The food storage, preparation, and handling procedures are under observation by inspectors to avoid contamination and adherence to hygiene standards. Businesses that do not meet requirements may be fined or temporarily closed.

Regulators are stressing that consumer safety is a top focus, especially during Ramadan when there is a spike in public gatherings and eating outdoors. Besides food safety inspections, authorities are also scrutinizing waste management and cleanliness procedures at event sites to ensure a healthy and clean atmosphere.

Residents of Dubai are urged to report any food safety issues through the proper channels. With preventive actions in place, the municipality looks to ensure a seamless and safe Ramadan experience where families can confidently enjoy their meals throughout the holy month.
