Ramadan Starts: Thousands Attend First Taraweeh Prayers Across UAE

The sacred month of Ramadan has begun, with thousands of Muslims attending across mosques in the UAE for the first Taraweeh prayers. The night prayers, conducted after Isha, signal the start of a month of fasting, praying, and spiritual contemplation for Muslims globally.

Mosques such as the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque in Dubai also had enormous crowds as believers gathered together in solidarity. The UAE government has made special arrangements to accommodate more worshippers, including extra prayer rooms, increased security, and traffic management around prominent mosques.

Religious scholars throughout the UAE have stressed the need for compassion, charity, and self-discipline throughout this holy month. Numerous mosques have also started organizing iftar meals for the poor, in accordance with the nation’s dedication to humanitarian causes throughout Ramadan.

The authorities have also asked residents to adhere to mosque etiquette, keep peaceful prayer spaces, and exercise road safety during the peak prayer hours. As Ramadan has set in, the atmosphere of faith, generosity, and camaraderie is likely to be at its best throughout the UAE.
