In a gruesome murder that sent the country reeling, an Egyptian man was accused of slaughtering his father and burning the body after a heated argument within the family. The suspect did not work alone—he used a friend’s assistance to carry out the cruel slaughter and cover the crime, according to investigators.

The conflict turned violent, with the suspect killing his father and trying to incinerate the remains as evidence. The remains were later found, triggering a hasty investigation which culminated in the arrest of the suspect. His accomplice was also apprehended.

Police authorities said that witness depositions and forensic investigations were essential in reconstructing the crime. The suspect is said to have admitted to the act, blaming bitter family conflicts as the reason for the crime. Court proceedings are currently ongoing.

The gruesome aspect of the killing has triggered mass public outcry, with people demanding harsh justice. The government has called on families with disputes to seek mediation instead of turning to violence. The case is still under investigation as prosecutors make formal charges.
