Arab Summit Ready to Adopt Post-War Gaza Plan Despite Trump Resistance

Arab presidents and kings will meet Tuesday for an emergency summit to ratify a post-war plan for the rebuilding of Gaza as the Arab world works towards thwarting ex-U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for the region.

Diplomats from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE have been conducting pre-summit talks to agree on a unified Arab position regarding Gaza’s future rule, humanitarian assistance, and rebuilding. The plan calls for Palestinian self-rule, international support, and security assurances to avoid further escalations.

Reports indicate the summit will also cover U.S.-supported Israeli policies, with the leaders anticipated to resist Trump’s alleged “deal for stability”—a scheme that would grant Israel dominance of prime land in exchange for mere Palestinian autonomy.

With increasing regional tensions and international pressure over Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, the Arab summit’s result may define the next stage of Middle East diplomacy, deciding the fate of Palestinian statehood and regional security.
