The Haramain High-Speed Railway has tremendously increased convenience of travel for pilgrims this Ramadan 2025 by carrying out 3,400 journeys between Mecca and Medina. The train service has also brought travel time between the two sacred cities down to just two hours, providing a comfortable and speedy trip for believers.

To meet the increase in demand, Saudi Arabia has used 35 modern trains, offering 1.6 million seats during the holy month. This increase ensures pilgrims and travelers can easily carry out their religious obligations without facing road traffic and long travel times.

The network of high-speed rail is an integral component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme, which seeks to upgrade infrastructure and enhance pilgrims’ experiences. With cutting-edge technology and frequent departures, the Haramain Railway is creating new standards in efficient and sustainable transport.

Passengers have praised the service for its reliability, comfort, and smooth connection between the holy sites. Officials are still overseeing operations, guaranteeing hassle-free passage for millions of travelers breaking Ramadan in the Kingdom.
