Dubai Municipality has launched its newest social campaign, the ‘Home First’ initiative, as a means of developing more robust community ties and improving the lifestyle for inhabitants of the emirate. The initiative comes as part of fulfilling the UAE President’s announcement that 2025 shall be the ‘Year of Community’ and promoting maximizing relations among neighborhoods and collective welfare.
‘Home First’ will give preference to programs that support participation at the community level, sustainable living, and enhanced public services at the neighborhood level. The campaign will feature educational workshops, volunteerism, and urban development initiatives targeted at creating more inclusive and resilient communities across Dubai.
Officials from Dubai Municipality emphasized that the initiative is rooted in Emirati values of hospitality, generosity, and social cohesion. The project also reflects Dubai’s long-term vision to create livable, people-centric spaces that nurture a sense of belonging among residents of diverse cultural backgrounds.
The launch event was attended by top stakeholders from government agencies, social organizations, and civic bodies promising their commitment to the cause. Dubai Municipality promised that ‘Home First’ will have a central role to play in developing stronger social connections and pushing forward the collective agenda of a more connected and involved Dubai.
