West Ham striker Michail Antonio is upbeat he will get back on the field, declaring himself “100 percent sure” of a comeback after a hair-raising car accident last December. The Jamaica international needed to undergo surgery after his Ferrari smashed into a tree on December 7, but he is optimistic about getting his career back underway.

Antonio has been going through rehabilitation ever since the accident and attributes his recovery to the encouragement of his club, colleagues, and loved ones. Notwithstanding the impact of the crash and subsequent surgery, Antonio declares he gets stronger each day and is committed to coming back.

“It was a frightening experience, but I’m focused on recovery and returning stronger than ever,” Antonio shared in a recent interview. He also expressed gratitude toward the medical staff who have guided him through the initial stages of rehabilitation.

The striker’s absence has been noticed at West Ham, but supporters are coming out in his support as he hopes to return to the team later this year. Antonio’s strength and positive attitude have motivated many, both within and beyond the football world.
