Etihad Airways has made the announcement of adding its 15th destination as part of its ambitious 2025 route expansion plan. The new destination is part of Etihad’s continued efforts to expand its global network and provide travelers with more direct connectivity options.
In a major development, Etihad has also inked a joint venture agreement with the national carrier of this newly included destination. This association will look to improve codeshare opportunities, rationalize flight schedules, and give customers hassle-free travel options between the UAE and the partner country.
“Expanding our network is central to our growth strategy and aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a key global transport hub,” an Etihad spokesperson stated. The airline has been aggressively boosting its reach this year, tapping into high-demand and underserved markets alike.
Industry experts note that Etihad’s latest addition reflects the airline’s focus on strengthening commercial ties and tourism links between the UAE and key international markets.
