Brad Hogg Under Fire for Taunting Pakistan Captain Rizwan’s English

Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg has gotten himself into trouble after taunting Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan’s English-speaking skills. The move has attracted stinging criticism from Pakistan’s cricket fraternity.

All-rounder Aamir Jamal openly criticized Hogg’s comments as “disrespectful” and unbefitting of an international sporting personality. Jamal emphasized that it is not acceptable to make fun of a person’s language proficiency, particularly given Rizwan’s standing and contribution to the sport.

Hogg’s comments, made in a media interaction, soon became viral on social media, triggering controversy regarding cultural sensitivity and professionalism in cricket.

Neither Rizwan nor the Pakistan Cricket Board has publicly reacted so far, but fans and other cricketers have come to the defense of Rizwan, calling for an apology from Hogg.
