The holidays will be for all public sector employees, commemorating the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the Eid Al Fitr celebrations.
The announcement comes as residents look forward to the festive period, with many likely to make a trip or spend time with family and friends. The private sector can expect to get a similar announcement in the next few days.
Government officials have called on the public to practice safety measures over the holiday period and to make use of the numerous events and activities lined up throughout Dubai to celebrate the day.
