In anticipation of history-making crowds in the last days of Ramadan, Saudi authorities have launched new measures of organized entry and exit paths at the Grand Mosque in Mecca. The development is among a series of efforts aimed at reorganizing pilgrims’ movement and creating a safer pilgrimage experience.

The General Authority for Maintenance of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque confirmed that the new paths are formulated to deal with large volumes of people and forestall congestion, especially during busiest prayer hours. Signs and traffic guides have also been put at the ready to help worshippers navigate the alteration.

With millions of pilgrims coming from across the globe during Ramadan, the Grand Mosque becomes extremely crowded, particularly in the last ten days of the sacred month. The newly assigned corridors will facilitate smoother movement of people entering and leaving the courtyards of the mosque.

Authorities call on worshippers to pay close attention to instructions and coordinate with mosque staff to guarantee safe and easy movement. The move is indicative of the Kingdom’s dedication to ensuring a seamless spiritual experience for pilgrims of all kinds.
