In the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar, Eid Al Fitr 2025 is expected to bring longer vacations. The Shawwal moon sighting, which marks the end of Ramadan 1446 AH, will be used to determine the official holiday dates.

Typically, public and private sector employees across the region receive three to four days off, depending on the respective government announcements. In the UAE, the holidays are expected to begin on Ramadan 29 or 30 and extend through the first few days of Shawwal. Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar will also observe similar timelines, ensuring families and communities can come together.

Residents and visitors are advised by government representatives to keep abreast of official announcements about the confirmed holiday period. With many popular destinations preparing for a surge of tourists, the extended break offers a fantastic opportunity for travel and leisure.

Across the Gulf, residents and visitors get ready for celebrations, prayers, and get-togethers as the holy month comes to a happy end.
