Kuwait’s national debt-settlement campaign is hoping to reach $97 million in contributions to aid overburdened individuals in wiping their slate clean. Thus far, 3,000 individuals have requested the help, which testifies to the pressing necessity for relief against economic woes.

Applicants for the program must fulfill two conditions: they must be Kuwaiti citizens, and their financial hardship must be confirmed through formal documents. Funded by charities and donors, the program promises to offer people a new lease on life in the form of debt freedom.

The campaign brings to attention an emerging social problem, where numerous people want assistance to repay accumulated loans and financial debts. Authorities have maintained that the screening process is rigorous to guarantee that the assistance only goes to individuals in real need.

With donations rolling in, the campaign is hoped to have a major impact, bringing hope to many poor families. Organizers invite more public and business donations to support extending the coverage of the debt-relief program.
