UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Israeli Foreign Minister engaged in important talks on recent regional trends, with a focus on de-escalation of tensions and the advancement of peace. Talks revolved around the resumption of the ongoing truce, the achievement of a durable ceasefire, and the release of hostages.

The two envoys shared perspectives on the imperative to stop the fighting and focus on humanitarian efforts in the midst of increasing strife in the region. Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s intention to encourage dialogue and stability through diplomacy, calling on all sides to collaborate toward an inclusive and lasting resolution.

During negotiations, each side emphasized keeping civilians’ lives safe and humanitarians unrestricted in delivering relief aid. Each also looked for methods of addressing regional stability in coordination with multilateral international endeavors and resumed diplomacy.

The exchange is emblematic of the UAE’s active role in promoting peaceful resolution of active crises, and strengthening diplomatic relations with major international allies. The meeting represents a step in regional diplomacy at a moment when collective peacebuilding efforts are more important than ever.
