Dust, Fog, and Rough Seas: UAE Braces for Weather Whirlwind This Week

The UAE weather is dramatically changing as authorities have issued yellow and orange alerts for dust storms, fog, and high humidity until Friday. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued warnings of low visibility due to dusty weather, especially in open spaces and highways, while rough seas are dangerous along the coastlines.

Humidity will rise to 85 per cent overnight, building up ideal conditions for fog and mist early in the mornings, mainly in internal areas. Drivers are advised to travel with utmost care as a result of slippery roads and poor visibility in the affected areas.

The high winds from the dust storms will also blow waves as high as 6 feet high, raising warnings to both beach users and small boat operators. Respiratory patients should also minimize exposure outside and use a mask when it is not necessary.

This mix of dusty skies, high humidity, and rough sea conditions is likely to subside by Friday afternoon. In the meantime, the public is advised to keep an eye on official reports and heed safety warnings from UAE authorities.
