Hollywood actor Ben Affleck has spoken out about his experience playing Batman, sharing a shocking behind-the-scenes secret — he loathed wearing the Batsuits. The actor, who portrayed the legendary DC character in a number of movies, called the suit “horrendous to wear”*and claimed it was physically draining to wear on set.
In an open interview, Affleck revealed that the Batsuits, while visually stunning, were anything but comfortable. “You have no idea how miserable it is,” he said. “It’s hot, it’s tight, it’s difficult to move, and everything hurts after a few hours.” The actor confessed that the glitz of being Batman was often eclipsed by the long hours spent wedged inside the heavy, stiff costume.
Affleck also discussed the impact of the Batsuit on his performance. Simple movements such as turning his head, sitting down, or even going to the bathroom became logistical nightmares. “It makes you feel like less of a superhero and more of a guy stuck in a Halloween costume for 12 hours straight,” he quipped.
Whereas the fans had adored his brooding take on the Caped Crusader, Affleck’s admission brings a depth of respect for the work that went into it behind the scenes. For all his unease, the actor gave a strong performance — though it appears he won’t be hurrying back to the Batcave in a hurry.
