Pahalgam Terror Attack: Kashmir’s Dark Day Reopens Old Wounds

The peaceful hills of Pahalgam were transformed into a nightmare after a gruesome terrorist attack left 26 innocent people dead, including tourists and residents. The brutality has thrown a dark shadow over the region, which has been long trying to come to terms with the devastation of decades of conflict and instability.

Witnesses described the mayhem as shooters fired randomly, targeting buses and civilians in a popular tourist area. The disaster not only wrecked havoc on families but also brought back traumatic recollections of previous terror attacks in Kashmir.

The government has promised speedy justice, ordering a huge manhunt for the attackers. Security personnel have increased patrols, and intelligence agencies are working day and night to track any terror connections behind the attack. Meanwhile, public outrage is growing, with citizens calling for tangible action and accountability.

This tragic incident once again raised disturbing questions regarding the regional security and susceptibility of calm civilian zones. As Kashmir cries for its slain, the nation finds itself pining for previous fears and recalling an urgent cry for lasting peace and security.
