During the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025, specialists highlighted how innovations fueled by AI are revolutionizing the map of Arabic content in the digital age. During a panel, Dr. Ali Bin Tamim, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, stressed that the linguistic richness of Arabic is more problematic to digitize than in other languages such as English or French.

Though AI technologies have made tremendous strides, Arabic poses special difficulties because of its script, grammar, dialectical variety, and contextual complexities. Dr. Bin Tamim emphasized the necessity of regionally oriented AI models and deep learning systems attuned to the rich structure and cultural richness of the Arabic language.

Innovators demonstrated AI-based translation software, content creation tools, speech-to-text technology, and digital publishing platforms designed to make Arabic content more accessible, engaging, and inclusive. These technologies are enabling educators, publishers, and creators to close the gap between classical Arabic literature and the needs of a digital-first world.

The conversations at the book fair highlight an overarching effort to protect and promote Arabic with technology, to keep it lively in contemporary media and academia. Abu Dhabi remains in the forefront of boosting language innovation, digital literacy, and cultural sustainability in the Arab world.
