Rain has been experienced in Sharjah and Al Ain today as unstable weather patterns continue to sweep the UAE. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced a yellow alert, cautioning residents against low visibility and wet roads due to scattered rain showers and overcast conditions expected to last until Sunday.
Drivers have been requested by local police forces to exercise caution, slow down, and refrain from sudden braking on rain-soaked zones. Authorities also instructed residents to remain informed through official weather reports and steer clear of wadi zones or low-lying areas that are susceptible to flash floods.
The overcast weather has resulted in a significant decrease in temperatures nationwide, bringing a temporary relief from the recent heat. Gusty winds of up to 35 km/h are also forecast in some areas, potentially stirring up dust and lowering visibility on open roads.
Weekend travelers and those with outdoor activities scheduled are asked to exercise caution since weather disturbances could persist. The NCM reiterates that these patterns are a component of the changing season and promises that updates will be released from time to time.
