Major UAE airlines have extended the suspension of flights to Pakistan as military tensions between India and Pakistan continue to intensify. This precautionary move, announced late Thursday, impacts both inbound and outbound services, affecting thousands of travelers across the region.
Customers holding reservations for the cancelled flights are being asked to not travel to the airport and instead call their airlines to rebook or be refunded. Airlines have promised full support, but caution that response times will be slow because of high volume calls.
The deepening conflict, already causing various cross-border attacks and heightened security notices, has compelled aviation authorities to daily review airspace safety. With uncertainty in the air, additional airlines may follow suit in renewing suspensions, based on the development of the geopolitical landscape.
