Sharjah Police Initiate ‘Secure Your Vehicle’ Campaign to Prevent Thefts

Sharjah Police initiated a new public awareness campaign, ‘Secure Your Vehicle’, to make citizens aware of the need to prevent car-related thefts. The campaign urges vehicle owners to practice simple but effective habits to minimize risks.

Officals are reminding drivers to never leave valuables in open sight, to lock up their cars even for short stops, and not park in dimly lit or secluded areas. The appeal was made amid a recent surge of car thefts from unlocked vehicles.

The police will be employing social media, public signage, and patrol interactions to disseminate the message across Sharjah. Safety tips and informative flyers are being handed out at malls, gas stations, and residential areas.

Sharjah Police made it clear that community cooperation is paramount. By raising awareness and encouraging vigilance, the campaign hopes to make a safer environment and safeguard residents from avoidable losses.
