Al Khaznah & Sheikh Shakhbout Join Hands to Empower Young Burn Survivors

In a touching collaboration, Al Khaznah Leathers and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) have united in an effort to introduce a new initiative that will support young burn survivors in their journey towards healing. The initiative is aimed at providing aid to children not just towards physical healing but also gaining back emotional strength and reintegrating socially.

The initiative features customized workshops, peer support groups, and community activities that promote resilience and confidence building. Through the provision of a supportive environment, the program aims to mitigate the long-term psychological effect of traumatic burns.

Al Khaznah Leathers, renowned for its social responsibility and sustainability, is providing capital and resources to provide these children with comprehensive care outside of the hospital. The corporate involvement represents an increasing phenomenon of corporate alliances with healthcare organizations for social transformation.

SSMC specialists hope that this program would be an example for regional comprehensive pediatric burn rehabilitation, allowing kids to get back to school, find new friends, and regain a sense of normalcy.
