In a moment of pride for UAE culture, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has been awarded “Inspirational Literary Figure” by the World Silk Road Forum for International Poets. The honor is a testament to his lasting influence on world literature, particularly along the ancient Silk Road’s cultural axis.

The award recognizes Sheikh Mohammed’s profound interest in poetry, especially Nabati poetry, which harmonizes tradition with contemporary values. His literary compositions—translated into various languages—have touched the hearts of multicolored readers, promoting intercultural communication and understanding of Arab poetic heritage.

Organizers of the forum lauded Sheikh Mohammed’s dedication to applying literature as a unifying tool, vision, and illumination. His writings not only express the cultural richness of the UAE but also add significantly to the literary world at large. His voice in poetry has been an icon of peace, wisdom, and leadership.

The Silk Road International Poets project unites writers from around the world who are interested in cross-cultural relations by means of literature. Sheikh Mohammed’s award is a strong symbol of the potential of leadership, imagination, and narrative to move generations—ahead and across borders.
